Written by Pradeep Abheeshta Sony's mid-range smartphone, the Xperia XA1, is the successor to last year's XA and improves upon its predecessor with larger RAM, a faster processor, a 23MP camera and new software. However, the mid-range phone market is a tough fight among companies like Oppo, Vivo, Motorola and many more. So, can the "super mid-range phone" (as the company advertises) win the fight or will it be outshone by its competitors? Read my review to find out more. Huge shout out to Sony Mobile Singapore for sending me this phone. My review is based on my usage of the phone over the course of 2 weeks.

Written by Pradeep Abheeshta Getting, probably, one of the best smartphones in 2017 in my hands is going to be a great experience. It is a very important product for consumers and for Samsung as well, as that's their ray of hope after the "exploding Note 7" fiasco. The S8 and S8+ has got to be the most gorgeous phones of 2017 with its Infinity display and premium build quality. It's no slouch either, packing a Snapdragon 835 and an Adreno 540 (or in my case, a Samsung Exynos 8895 and Mali-G71 MP20 GPU) and 4GB of RAM. Till the review video and write-up are released, watch as I unbox the larger Galaxy S8+ and give my first impressions. I have not covered many aspects of the device as I had used the device for only a couple of minutes, but a detailed review is on its way. Written By Pradeep Abheeshta Yes, things were pretty silent on the channel but now, there's a new video! Sony has launched their "super mid-range" Xperia XA1 here in Singapore today. I dig through the box and give my impressions and opinions. This is NOT a full review but that will be coming very soon, on both the blog and the channel. Huge shout out to Sony Mobile Singapore for providing me the phone to review! Written By Pradeep Abheeshta In 2017, the bars of expectation for a great smartphone have been raised even higher than before. The Samsung Galaxy S8/S8+ and the LG G6, the talks of tech town, have made news for its radical design changes and technological advancements, which will probably influence upcoming phones. However, the G6 and the S8 cost more than 750 USD and in no way is that affordable. Most people would prefer a cheaper handset with the quality and features of a flagship. The OnePlus devices were the answers to such customers. Their latest offering, the 3T, had the features of a flagship but the price tag of a mid-range handset.
This year, the China based company will reveal the successor, the OnePlus 5. There will be no "OnePlus 4" as it's a common belief in Chinese culture that the number 4 represents death. Anyhow, there are some changes I expect to see in the OnePlus 5. Written By Pradeep Abheeshta The company, which recently made headlines, with the release of the $13,000+ privacy-focused SOLARIN, has opened its first store in London. You'll get the first hand experience of the device in their state-of-the-art studio. The device will be running a heavily modified version of Android 5.1.1. The phone boasts end-to-end encryption when calling, messaging or sending emails; a security switch which activates a Security Shield and periodical security patches to protect the SOLARIN against new security threats.
Written By Pradeep Abheeshta SIRIN LABS has pulled the curtains off their new privacy-focused phone, the SOLARIN. And price ranges from $13,000 to $17,000! Read on to find out more about this interesting product.

(Click here to check out the Kickstarter page. You can follow Yannick Read on Twitter.) It's a very well known fact that the process of stealing a 2 wheeler is effortless. No matter how many locks or expensive alarms you install, 2 to 3 burly men, a handful of tools and a van is enough to get even a heavy cruiser motorcycle nicked. Fortunately, Guinness World Record holder Yannick Read might have the solution. Written By Pradeep Abheeshta
The new budget-friendly Moto G line up for 2016 is finally here with the Moto G4 Plus, Moto G4 and Moto G4 Play. They are inexpensive and run on (almost) stock Android 6.0. But which is the right one for you? Read on to find out! Written By Pradeep Abheeshta
In recent times, Microsoft has been trying their hands on many Android apps, including their own Arrow Launcher, which I reviewed last year. So to continue that streak, they have released an all new keyboard app, the Hub Keyboard. The question is, should you download it? Well, read this review to find out. Please do note that the app is still in the Preview stage, so the final app might be completely different. Written By Pradeep Abheeshta
(NOTE: With new rumours about these phones surfacing every now and then, this article will be updated periodically) Apple has made some great products and the iPhone has been one of their most critically and commercially successful products. Great design and build quality, quick and snappy responses, the great camera and the UI have been the strong points of the iPhone 6S and especially the 6S Plus. But whenever I try one out, I always feel that it lacks a certain "something", to make itself seem better than most of the high-end Android phones. Therefore, there are many things I would like to see in the upcoming iPhone 7 (and 7 Plus) and maybe, after these upgrades, I might become a regular iOS user. Written by Pradeep Abheeshta and Vishal Ramanathan (Camera) Edited by Vishal Ramanathan Out of the numerous phones made by Sony, their Xperia Z series has been their flagship, with great specs and excellent build quality. But with the stiff competition from other manufacturers, how's Sony going to distinguish itself? Is the Z5 Premium their rightful weapon to win this battle. Well, let's find out! Written By Pradeep Abheeshta The Sony Xperia Z5 Premium is a great video shooter and this is a compilation of some of the videos shot, at different times of the day, at 1080P@30fps. Be sure to check out the unboxing of this phone and the review on the blog and on YouTube.
Written by Pradeep Abheeshta Edited by Vishal Ramanathan The HTC 10 was recently announced on April 12. So, has the company corrected the blunders of its past? Let's see what the changes and improvements are in store.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge may have released just a while back, but that doesn't stop me from being curious about the future of the Note series. With improvements clearly evident on the S7 and the Edge, here are a few things I wish to see in the soon to be released Galaxy Note 6. Please do note that these are just my assumptions and are no where guaranteed to be the actual specifications. Hello there fellow tech enthusiasts. We know you miss our updates, rumor round ups and reviews as we have received many emails asking why we stopped.

Written by Vishal Ramanathan September has been a busy month in the smartphone world with major phone manufacturers releasing their flagship phones. LG decided to join the party as well, although a little late. What do they have in store for us? Well if you thought the G4 was going to be LG's only flagship phablet this year, you thought wrong. LG recently took the covers off it's latest phablet, the LG V10. What does the "V" stand for? Let's find out! The unique button layout, amazing screen and camera are still there but with major improvements. What's better than a phone with 1 screen? A phone with 2 screens! What about protecting the 2 screens? 2 panels of Gorilla Glass 4. What's better than a phone with a selfie camera? A phone with 2 selfie cameras! What's better than a phone with 2 microphones? You guessed it right, a phone with 3 microphones! You thought Samsung phones were feature rich? Well here's LG for you. The V10 is a premium, durable, stylish, versatile and crazy phone. This is probably the first ever "Ultra Phone". That's right, the V10 is in a class of it's own. Personally, I fell in love with this phone the second I watched the video by LG showing off the phone. Written by Pradeep Abheeshta Chinese mobile manufacturer, Xiaomi, is all ready to launch their upcoming OS, the MIUI 7, a successor to the MIUI 6. Considering that the MIUI 6 is based on Android 5.0, it's presumed that this new iteration will built upon Android 5.1.1.
Though not much is known right now, we shall know the details from Xiaomi's launch event. Written by Vishal Ramanathan What is Google ATAP? With a tag saying "We like epic shit" on their Google+ page; Google's Advanced Technology And Projects (ATAP) group are a small band of pirates. Believers. Makers. They say "The future is what we choose to make. We make what we believe in." People working in Google's ATAP division are the mad scientists of the tech world. Truly thinking out of the box and dreaming up crazy innovations. They're pushing the boundaries of technology with every project they take up. Research teams operate under a “Special Forces” methodology where projects that don’t yield good results are killed within two years. The fast-moving, scrap it if it doesn’t work mindset by was brought to Google ATAP by Dr. Regina Dugan, the ex-DARPA chief who came to Google when it bought Motorola back in 2012. Not only are projects killed after two years, but the project managers in charge of them are let go. It creates a sense of urgency that requires researchers to make the most of their time. Google ATAP is a different research lab entirely from Google X, the secret arm that birthed the self-driving car, Google Loon Internet balloons, and the much-maligned Google Glass. ATAP dedicated to mobile technology, while Google X is for a broader range of long-term projects — real “moonshots” as Google sometimes calls them. Written by Pradeep Abheeshta Microsoft has been releasing new apps on mobile devices lately, and the Arrow Launcher is a new addition to the line-up of apps from the company. A new, simplistic launcher? Let's see...
